Five real variations, ready to play.
| Skill | Normal | Friday |
|---|---|---|
| Count | A stationary field flashes briefly. | The dots move while visible. Estimate the number, not the movement. |
| Track | Predict a disappearing ball’s landing. | The trajectory reflects from the side walls before landing. |
| Angle | Set a direction around one circle. | Keep track of full turns. 450° is different from 90°. |
| Tempo | Continue the pulse after four reference beats. | Tap halfway between the imagined beats after the reference. |
| Split | Mark a proportion inside a line. | The requested fraction can continue beyond an endpoint. |

Friday keeps the five-skill structure, but changes what counts as an answer. For Angle, one full turn plus 90° is 450°. For Split, 3/2 of a line from the left means one and a half line lengths from the left endpoint; from the right, it goes beyond the left endpoint.
Friday uses wider scoring tolerances for these harder tasks. Our own seeds and fixed-reference rhythm implementation are independent practice, not a replay of the original’s Friday puzzle. See both tolerance tables and worked examples →
