Get back to playing
A little help with your next round.
Most sound and progress problems come down to browser permissions, an interrupted tab or storage in a different browser. Start with the matching steps below.
I cannot hear the Tempo beats
- Keep the game tab visible and use its start control yourself. Browsers often require a click or tap before allowing sound.
- Check device volume, the browser tab’s mute setting and the selected audio output. A Bluetooth headset may add noticeable delay.
- Return to the game and start the round again. Avoid changing audio devices midway through a Tempo round.
- If audio remains unavailable, use Custom to select the other skills while you resolve the sound setup.
Tempo uses four reference beats followed by eight taps. Friday moves the continuation taps halfway between beats. A late-feeling result can reflect audio or input delay as well as your timing; the game does not promise identical latency across devices.
Touch input or an angle feels wrong
Use the game’s marked field and controls, and check the current selected value before submitting. Keep your finger inside the interactive area while dragging. For Friday Angle, rotate through the complete turns rather than jumping straight to the final direction.
If the page moved while you were aiming, return to the field and adjust the selection. Browser zoom, a resized window or switching orientation can change the available space; finish a round at a steady screen size where possible. Built-in form controls can also be focused and operated from a keyboard.
I switched tabs, locked my phone or received a call
A hidden tab can pause animations, throttle timers or suspend audio. If the tab is hidden during timed observation or Tempo tapping, the game interrupts the round without recording a score. Return and choose Retry this round to replay the same target. Tempo also offers a retry if its attempt times out.
The resume checkpoint is the last completed round. An estimate or partial tapping sequence that has not been submitted is not a saved result and must be played again.
How do I resume?
Open History in the same browser on perceptle.io and choose Resume saved set. The stored settings and completed rounds let you continue from the next unfinished round. Keep only one active game tab to avoid competing changes to browser-local progress.
A new random session is different from continuing a saved session. To repeat exactly the same targets, use the original challenge link or the same saved configuration.
My records are missing
First check that you are using the same browser, profile and hostname. Private browsing has separate, temporary storage. Clearing site data, reinstalling a browser or using a storage-cleaning extension may remove records.
Results from perceptle.com or perceptlegame.com do not automatically appear here. Each website has its own browser storage. There is no account or cloud save from which we can restore a deleted local record.
If you have an exported backup, open History and use Import JSON to select it. Check the import result before deleting your backup. An image, copied score card or challenge URL does not contain your entire saved history.
Exporting and moving to another device
Choose Export history to download your completed records as JSON, or Export this result after a session to keep that run. Keep the file somewhere you control, then use Import JSON in History in the destination browser. A backup is a point-in-time copy; later games require a new export. Finish an active session before relying on a completed-history backup to preserve it.
History retains up to 100 completed sessions, with the newest kept when the limit is reached. Import merges records by session ID rather than adding a second copy of the same run. Compatible exports must be smaller than 2 MB and contain no more than 100 completed sessions.
If import is rejected, use the original unedited export file and confirm it belongs to Perceptle Unlimited. Renaming unrelated text to .json does not make it a valid game backup.
A challenge link is invalid
Copy the entire link, including everything after the question mark. Some messaging apps can shorten or wrap links. Open Challenges and paste the complete shared link or code into its input.
The game validates the encoded settings. A cut-off code, edited configuration or unsupported format can be rejected. Ask the sender to create a fresh link from this website. Do not substitute a random session if you want a fair same-target comparison.
We opened the same challenge but got different scores
The seed and settings make the targets reproducible, not the players’ answers. Check that the mode, difficulty, skills and set count match. Also check for interrupted playback or a different audio setup. Shared scores are self-reported and are not independently authenticated.
Can I use it offline or install it?
The website needs a connection to load its pages and files. An already loaded round may continue while a connection drops, but navigation, reloads and future availability are not guaranteed offline. This release does not promise an installable offline app. Export useful records before clearing browser data.
Something still does not work
Send a bug report with the page, browser, device, mode and steps that caused the problem. Include a challenge code if it reproduces the issue. Avoid sending private browsing data or unrelated files. The controls guide and scoring examples can help separate an unexpected rule from a technical fault.
