Browser-local game data

The game uses browser storage to retain session settings, completed round results, an active-session checkpoint and up to 100 completed sessions in history. Records may include seeds, selected skills, mode, difficulty, scores, errors and timestamps. When the history limit is reached, newer completed sessions are kept. This version has no player accounts, cloud-save service, global leaderboard, advertising or analytics tracking.

Browser storage belongs to this website’s origin and the browser profile you use. It is not automatically shared with perceptle.com, perceptlegame.com or another device. Private browsing, storage restrictions and clearing site data may prevent saving or remove records.

Exports and imports

History lets you download completed records as a JSON file and import a compatible backup. The game processes imported records in your browser. An active session’s local checkpoint is separate from completed-history exports. Keep exports in a place you control: anyone you give the file to can read the game data it contains.

A downloaded backup is separate from browser storage. Clearing local history does not delete files you previously downloaded, copies in another browser or data you sent to someone else.

Challenge links and score sharing

A challenge URL encodes the game configuration needed to generate the same session, including its seed and settings. Score text or comparison data is shared when you choose to copy or send it. These sharing features do not authenticate a player’s identity or prove that a result is unmodified.

Anyone with a shared link can read its configuration and pass it on. The service or person you share it with may retain the link or message. URLs may also remain in browser history. Avoid adding personal or sensitive information to anything you share.

Hosting and technical requests

The site is hosted through Cloudflare. Loading it sends normal web requests to the hosting infrastructure. Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP addresses, requested URLs, request times and browser information to deliver, secure and operate the service. Browser-local gameplay history is not a cloud backup simply because the page is hosted online.

External links take you to another operator’s website with its own privacy practices. The original Perceptle is a separate service.

Email you choose to send

If you contact hello@perceptle.io, your email includes the address, message and attachments you send. Use only the information needed for your request. Do not email an entire game export unless it is relevant and you are comfortable sharing its contents.

Your controls

Export records before moving devices or clearing data. Use the history controls to manage records, or clear perceptle.io site data in your browser to remove its local storage. Copies already exported or shared must be managed separately. You can play without creating an account.
